From Concept to Creation

Product development, for me, is where creativity meets purpose. It’s the process of turning insight into something tangible — something people can touch, use, and connect with. Whether developing a professional haircare line, a bespoke fragrance, or a lifestyle product, my goal is to create with intention, combining design thinking, sustainability, and emotional storytelling.

Every product should solve a problem, express a philosophy, and feel good to use. That belief has guided me through years of building and consulting for brands that want to innovate without losing authenticity.

 
 

Approach

I begin every project with three simple questions:
Who is it for? Why does it matter? And how should it feel?

From there, the process expands — balancing formulation, packaging, and storytelling to ensure that each element serves both function and emotion. My approach combines creative direction with commercial clarity, aligning the sensory experience of the product with the strategic goals of the brand.

Collaboration is central to my process. I work closely with laboratories, packaging engineers, fragrance developers, and creative teams to ensure every detail reflects the brand’s DNA — from the scent profile to the tactile experience in the hand.

 

Experience

As founder and creative director of Martinsson King, I led the full development cycle for an award-winning range of vegan, climate-compensated haircare products — recognized at the Danish and Dutch Beauty Awards. The project embodied my philosophy of modern sustainability: using fewer, better ingredients to achieve professional results with environmental integrity.

Beyond Martinsson King, I’ve consulted with indie beauty brands, spas, and boutique hotels, creating signature product lines and fragrance concepts that enhance brand identity and customer experience.

 

Philosophy

True innovation in product development comes from empathy — understanding what people need before they ask for it. My work is driven by the belief that products are not just formulas; they are experiences that connect people to ideas, values, and stories.
